Welcome to the NJ Spine Institute

The NJ Spine Institute, the office of Louis G. Quartararo, MD, specializes in minimally invasive surgery for the cervical and lumbar spine.

Dr. Quartararo is uniquely trained and certified in the latest techniques medical science has to offer.  He specializes in endoscopically assisted micro-discectomy procedures, laser discectomies, and endoscopic rhizotomy, foraminotomy and facetectomy.  He is one of only a few specialists in the country to perform a procedure known as “endoscopic lumbar fusion” as an outpatient procedure. Dr. Quartararo is a board-certified, fellowship-trained spine and orthopedic trauma surgeon affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center, and several state-of-the-art ambulatory care facilities.

NJ Spine Institute's goal is to provide the most advanced, personalized treatment for simple as well as complex back disorders. It is devoted to the complete management of spinal disease using the least invasive treatment options possible. NJ Spine Institute takes pride in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital, chronic and acute spinal disorders.

Dr. Quartararo is on the leading edge of minimally invasive spine surgery. His anterior and posterior spinal fusion techniques are performed through microscopic and or endoscopic exposures tailored specifically for each patient to provide the safest and best care for their condition.

Dr. Quartararo performs these as outpatient procedures so that his patients can return to the comfort of home the same day as their surgery. Additionally, Dr. Quartararo is expertly trained to perform all classic open surgical procedures.

NJ Spine Institute invites you to spend time on our website to educate yourself about your medical condition and treatment options. We take pleasure in spending time with our patients to educate them, review their medical records, and discuss their options -- surgical and  non-surgical -- in detail. The Institute welcomes new patients. If we can be of any assistance, please contact us.
